AE to Honor Women in the Industry

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. — The publishers of Agent Entrepreneur are accepting nominations for “Women in the Industry,” a cover story that will honor hardworking and successful women in the dealership, agency and F&I product provider and administrator segments.

“In what many still regard as a male-dominated industry, countless strong, smart, industrious women have reached the heights of success,” said Kate Spatafora, associate publisher of AE and P&A. “If you or someone you know fits that description, I encourage you to nominate them today.”

The deadline for nominations is August 28. Nominations should include:

  • The nominee and nominator’s name, title, company and contact information
  • 100 to 200 words explaining why the nominee is deserving of recognition, including any professional accomplishments, recent promotions, honors and awards

The magazine’s publishers and editorial board will carefully consider every nomination and select 20 honorees for inclusion in the story, which is scheduled to run in the September/October 2016 edition of AE.

PALS Early Bird Pricing Expires Tomorrow

Lunt to Explain CFPB’s Effect on F&I Products

LAS VEGAS — The organizers of the annual P&A Leadership Summit have announced that The Warranty Group’s Aaron Lunt has agreed to brief attendees on the actions undertaken by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) at the 2015 event, which is scheduled for Sept. 9–10 at Paris Las Vegas.

“We wanted to invite Aaron as a legal expert to give a CFPB update as it relates to the ‘I’ side of ‘F&I,’” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of F&I and Showroom and P&A magazines. “We are grateful he accepted and we anticipate a gripping address.”

Lunt serves as assistant general counsel and head of regulatory affairs for The Warranty Group and its wholly-owned insurance subsidiary, Virginia Surety Company Inc. He also appeared as a panelist at the recent Compliance Summit Midwest in Chicago. His presentation, “The CFPB’s Impact on the F&I Industry,” is expected to include a clear explanation of the agency’s mission and scope, a summary of its activities and their effect on dealership F&I offices, and a glimpse into what the future might hold.

“Attendees can expect to walk away with a greater understanding of the CFPB, what actions they have taken to date and how the F&I industry may be impacted going forward,” says Lunt.

Must Read Articles of 2011

It is with great enthusiasm that I join the P&A Magazine team as managing editor. To be back and reconnecting with those in the industry has been great and I look forward to developing new business relationships with those I’ve yet to meet.

P&A Magazine Names Jacobi Publisher

Diana Jacobi has been named the publisher of P&A Magazine. She brings more than 10 years of experience in the automotive finance industry.

Jacobi earned a degree from Indiana University and has served in accounting, marketing and management roles for a number of organizations throughout her career.

“I am looking forward to addressing the needs of providers and administrators and leading the publication through these exciting, yet challenging, times in the industry,” Jacobi said.
