Matthew Osborn Joins Ponte Vedra’s National Auto Care Corp. as Chief Information Officer


JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – National Auto Care Corp., a leading national administrator of vehicle service contract and ancillary products, has named insurance and TPA industry veteran Matthew Osborn to the newly-created position of Chief Information Officer. Osborn will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Osborn brings more than 25 years of technology and business development experience to his new position at National Auto Care. He has served in various areas of the industry, including agency management, training, and most notably, as a technology leader for Allstate and Allstate Benefits. His new role will lead the IT, Project Management, and Process Improvement teams with the goal of improving and optimizing the business experience of agents and dealers working with National Auto Care through several transformative projects currently under way.

Osborn holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Barry University in Miami, FL, an MBA from Jacksonville University, and is a candidate for Doctor of Business Administration at Jacksonville University. He and his family live in Jacksonville, FL.

Atkinson to Pull Double Duty at PALS 2016


LAS VEGAS — Organizers of the annual P&A Leadership Summit have announced that Jimmy Atkinson, COO of AUL Corp., will serve as a panel moderator and closing keynote speaker at the 2016 event, which will be held Aug. 30–31 at Paris Las Vegas.

Atkinson’s panel, “Threats Facing the F&I Industry,” will begin at 2:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30. He will be joined by National Automotive Experts’ David Neuenschwander, David Pryor of Safe-Guard Products International, Mike Saint of Assurant Risk Management, and National Auto Care’s Tony Wanderon.

“TPAs today are facing multiple threats, from moving our products into a dealer’s digital marketplace to adapting and adjusting to rapidly changing technology in the vehicles we cover,” Atkinson said. “How to make the leap in a profitable way is a big challenge, and I’m excited to lead a panel of some of the most successful folks in our industry to address these issues.”

At 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, Atkinson will deliver “The Pre-Owned Correction and F&I’s Big Opportunity,” the closing keynote address for P&A Leadership Summit as well as the co-located Industry Summit. He is expected to discuss the imminent correction that will inject large numbers of high-mileage vehicles into the used-car market and how, with proper planning, product providers, agents and dealers can take full advantage.

National Auto Care Corp. Adds to Product Portfolio to Meet Agents’, Dealers’ Business Needs


WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Westerville OH-based National Auto Care Corp. markets F&I products through its national network of independent agents. According to CEO Tony Wanderon, the company’s core focus is increasing these agent partners’ profitability by providing unique F&I product offerings and personalized sales support.

For 2016, National Auto Care Corp. has introduced several products to its expansive F&I product portfolio, including: Tire and Wheel Protection, Windshield Protection Product Limited Warranty, and Theft Deterrent Product Limited Warranty.

The windshield has become an important structural element in today’s lighter, more fuel-efficient vehicles. National Auto Care has responded to this evolution in vehicle design by introducing a Windshield Protection Product Limited Warranty, available for both new and used vehicles.
The Windshield Protection program includes the application of an approved windshield protection product and a limited warranty that protects the consumer should the windshield protection product fail. The limited warranty covers windshield repair and/or replacement depending on damage size and location, with no deductible due from the consumer and no limit on services during the term of the warranty.

National Auto Care’s new Theft Deterrent Product Limited Warranty helps agents and dealers offer consumers a product recommended by consumer publications and law enforcement agencies alike. This new product offers the protection of a theft deterrent product combined with the security of a limited warranty to help the customer recover should auto theft occur. The Theft Deterrent Product Limited Warranty is available with either a 3- or 5-year term, and customers can select from 3 levels of total loss benefits as well as a partial loss benefit of up to $1,000.

Both the Windshield Protection product and Theft Deterrent product allow dealers the flexibility of choosing a relevant product of their choice, or ordering supplies from National Auto Care’s preferred provider.

National Auto Care COO Christina Schrank and Regional Sales Manager Spencer Wanderon Named to “40 Under 40” Lists


WESTERVILLE, Ohio – It’s always a good day when a member of a company receives recognition within its industry. But when TWO people from the same company are honored by a leading industry publication, it is a significant reflection on the quality of that organization.

National Auto Care Corp., a leading administrator of vehicle service contracts and ancillary products based in Westerville, OH, is proud to congratulate COO Christina Schrank and Regional Sales Manager Spencer Wanderon for industry recognitions.

Both Schrank and Wanderon were honored as young leaders in the automotive and insurance industries by Agent Entrepreneur Magazine, a publication for independent agents of automotive finance and insurance products.

“This list represents the next generation of leaders in the agency, product provider and administrator segments,” said David Gesualdo, publisher of Agent Entrepreneur. “It is a formidable group and one that is brimming with confidence and optimism.”

Schrank was also honored by the publication Auto Remarketing, which focuses on news for the pre-owned automotive industry.

Christina Schrank began her career at NAC in 1996. Her hard work and attention to customer service helped her rise through the ranks, taking on not just operations but also marketing and customer service responsibilities. Christina was named Chief Operating Officer in 2013, and has been a vital part of the team that has led the company to nearly 30% growth in 2013-14. Christina lives in Westerville, OH with her husband Paul and their three children.

Spencer Wanderon has served the organization as a Regional Sales Manager since 2011. He was a founding member of Family First Dealer Services, and joined National Auto Care at the time of the companies’ merger. He worked his way up in the company, and supports several of National Auto Care’s largest clients. He has also been has been instrumental in recruiting new agents in his region. Spencer lives in Jacksonville, FL.

National Auto Care Appoints VP of Actuarial & Product


WESTERVILLE, OH – National Auto Care Corp. (NAC), a leading administrator of vehicle service contract and ancillary programs, is excited to announce the appointment of Tim Burgess to Vice President of Actuarial & Product.

Mr. Burgess will lead the pricing activities for NAC including new product development and the enhancement of existing products. He is an associate of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of North Florida.

Mr. Burgess comes to NAC with over 14 years of actuarial experience, most recently from Allstate Dealer Services where he was responsible for product pricing, including the development of financial models, rate filing exhibits, and managing various product implementation projects. Mr. Burgess will report to Tony Wanderon, CEO of NAC.

“Tim is another great addition to our growing team. His fresh perspective on product and pricing as well as his experience in assisting dealer owned captives in maximizing their underwriting income is invaluable in today’s rapidly changing environment,” said CEO Tony Wanderon.
